The Learning Portal @ AVRL

The Learning Portal at AVRL -

We are offering free WiFi support for students enrolled in online post-secondary courses. Post-Secondary students who are enrolled in virtual classes, with no access to reliable/stable Internet, are eligible to book in-library space at the Annapolis Valley Regional Library (AVRL) to complete their online learning. All AVRL libraries have WiFi that is available 24/7.

AVRL will provide space, a desk and chair, and free Wifi to eligible students. Space is limited. To be eligible, the student must provide confirmation from professor or school that they are enrolled in courses. This may be done via email. Students must also have their own equipment, such as laptop and headset. This opportunity is based on available space and times. Students may be offered space at another branch. This is not intended to be used as study time. This service is intended for online coursework for those who have no reliable Internet at their homes.

Students will be asked adhere to all NS Health Guidelines while in the building. To secure a space, phone your local branch manager to make arrangements and book times. Visit the Hours & Locations link to find the phone number, hours, and location of the public library branch nearest you.
