Middleton’s Art Wall, October, 2021

Posted on

The Rosa M. Harvey Middleton & Area Library would like to welcome local art enthusiasts to visit and view our art display featuring and promoting local artists in our area.

For the month of October we are featuring the artwork of local Allison Meisner.

While she has always enjoyed painting animals and scenery, Allison believes that the greatest freedom of expression through art is the use of abstract painting. She uses a variety of mediums such as acrylic, watercolor, oil, paper mache, mixed mediums, pencils and soapstone carving.

Allison has a diploma of graphic design and illustration from NSCC, and has also attended the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax to study fine arts in oil painting, sculptures, and art history.

Allison’s work can be seen in displays held by the Artist Circle, where she has been a member for over 25 years, and year round at Angie’s Family Restaurant in Middleton, NS.

We encourage you to come view Allison’s work at the Middleton Library until the end of October.
