The AVRL BookBikes are available to borrow at the Annapolis Royal, Berwick & Wolfville branches. Pedal around in style on one of our BookBikes. It's summertime! That means the Annapolis Valley Regional Library's Annual Summer Reading Challenge is here too! There are Challenges (and prizes) for all ages. This year, readers will use Beanstack, an online reading tracker, to keep track of their reading progress as they earn tickets that can be used to enter prize draws for books, t-shirts, board games, and more! On top of that, everyone in the 4-12, Teen, or Adult Challenges who complete the reading goal of 20 hours is entered to win a Nintendo Switch! Rapid Covid-19 Test Kits
Rapid Covid-19 Test Kits
AVRL will be assisting NS Health with the distribution of Take-Home COVID-19 rapid testing kits to our communities. Free COVID rapid antigen tests are available to pick up at the Library! Available during open hours. You can pick up a test kit any time during open hours. Find a location near you. Limited but regular supplies A new supply will arrive regularly, and each branch’s stock will fluctuate. Library staff cannot take appointments or reserve kits for you. We want you to have a safe and positive experience when picking up your rapid test kit. One kit (or bundle) per person, please. (Each kit contains 5 tests.) You may pick up a kit for others. Tests should not be used inside the Library. Are you feeling sick? If yes, please stay home and complete Nova Scotia Health’s self-assessment tool or call 811. And when you’re at your Library, please remember to remain physically distanced from staff and other community members. We're going to the Zoo! We've partnered with our friends at Oaklawn Farm Zoo once again to offer you a free day at the zoo! Ages 18 & under get in free with their AVRL library card. We have fun some activities planned, and our friends the Jugglin' Bubblers will be joining us! Look for the Library tent near the entrance. See you at the ZOO!
